THE PROPOSAL
From Bride's perspective:
"Friday, August 14, 2020, started off as a normal, crazy day at work. Little did I know what I had in store for that afternoon and evening. My friends (thank you, Katie) texted me about having a group dinner, which is normal for us to do. When I got home that day, my mom casually told me that maybe I should wash my hair before dinner with my friends. Again, not an unusual comment if you know my mother, lol. Andrew said we should stop by the Dock House before we met our friends for dinner. The Dock House is where we first met, so it is a very special place to me. We get to the Dock House and order drinks. It is perfect day out in Beaufort over the water. I notice a photographer in our area had shown up with her camera. I just think she is here for a special treat for somebody, absolutely clueless it is for me. I didn't like the drink I ordered so Andrew offered to go inside and get me something else. I remember waiting for him to come back out on the dock and browsing at my phone. The next thing I knew, he was down on one knee asking me to marry him :) I immediately started to cry happy tears and I'm pretty sure the first words out of my mouth were "did you ask my dad" before I said "YES!" After an amazing moment with just us, my closest friends and family surprised (me) to celebrate. I don't think I could have ever dreamed of a better proposal. Andrew secretly met my sisters in Raleigh to help him pick out my engagement ring.
He reached out to my best friends and family to plan the most incredible surprise of my life.
On top of all that, he hired a photographer to capture the moment he proposed and that special afternoon."
