Steve and Kristen have been happily together for about 10 years - Steve is an operation director for an nationwide event company and Kristen is an amazing CMT...

Their love story: Kristen and Steve met at a 'King's of Belmont' show [ a local Charlottesville, VA band ] Seemed they had the same taste in music and so they met at a local dive bar.

Marcelia, one of Kristen's best pals and roommate at the time, pointed Steve out from across the room, she went on to say: "He looks like your type, Kristen!" Lucky for Steve, he was standing right by the band merchandise table, and Kristen somehow had already promised to buy some t-shirts for some of her roommates and herself as well. And so, she walked over, and struck up a conversation with Steve while standing in line. Although, to this day, he still swears that he's the one who noticed her, and then started a conversation. Well, they just noticed each other!

Before leaving that night, Kristen gave him her number, and told him that he should take her out to dinner next week!

And that is what he did and now ten years later they tied the knot.

Originally the wedding was planned to be ocean side, but that Thursday a set of strong storms dictated to have this wedding indoors and the magnificent team at the Islander, moved and decorated the ballroom to accomodate their guests and have their ceremony. We were able to have a few breaks in between the storms for creative images and family portraits. Couple's dinner was catered by Floyd's 21 - A low country boil which consisted of; Shrimp, Mussels, Clams, Crab legs, Andouille Sausage, corn on the cob, and potatoes; All steamed together in a special, seasoned broth. Served with cornbread. Cake was designed by Maria H with Mrs. Vingerberger's Sweets - Florals were design by Kristen's mom who is a florist. All rentals provided by Island Essentials. It was a very intimate time shared with family and closest friends. Speeches were given, tears of joy were shared. Even if the wedding was held inside, Kristen and Steve were the happiest, they just wanted to be together. Enjoy the images of this wonderful time.
