As destination photographers we are always seeking for new venues and new wedding vendors in our community, we love working with wedding planners and we love Heather! The Curtiss Mansion is the only surviving residence of Glen Hammond Curtiss who was a world famous aviation pioneer before becoming a land developer in South Florida.

The mansion is a foot example of Pueblo-Mission Revival architecture. The property has 14k sq ft. But. after Curtiss died in the 1930,and his wife remarried and passed in 1951. Their son sold the property and became Miami Spring Villas, which in the 80's it served as Eastern Airlines 'stewardess' training center, later became a restaurant, an executive house, a playhouse and several other businesses. Following years the property underwent many unwanted changes andin 1998 the City of Miami took on the property as a donation.

This beautiful property was restored to its 1925s grandeur which was made possible by grants as well as other private donations totaling 4.5 millions [ by State of Florida, Miami-Dade County, and the DOT ] and lots of professional work by volunteers totaling 1.5 millions - The Curtiss Mansion is now one of the most sought-after venues in the area and it offers a unique mix of fine and performing arts presentations, lectures, films, exhibits, classes, youth activities and other events, This beautiful place continues to build on its successes every day.

Sherry Feijoo is the Meetings and Events director and she was very accommodating and helpful while we were visiting the mansion, so we know that any couple seeking for a venue will get the most dedicated attention. For this shoot styled by the extraordinary Heather Benge had the most incredible vendors in the Miami area provided with collaborations that made all magic possible. We had 4 couples, beautiful colorful floral design and extremely exquisite details. We even had a live painter the day of - Talia is a very talented young lady, we suggest you check her out!
