Enchanted with this location in New Bern, NC - Isaac Taylor Gardens [The urban mansion was built in 1792 for Isaac Taylor, a successful merchant, ancestor of folk singer, James Taylor] and is located in historic downtown New Bern on Craven Street - This premium venue includes a bridal suite, catering kitchen, and outdoor bar area with a stage for entertainment.

The vision for this editorial shoot was born when Jean Lloyd, owner of Blush Boutique in New Bern, NC had an idea to reunite several wedding vendors to collaborate while Mumfestwas celebrated during the weekend of October 13th - The idea was to have a live-shoot and have the guests view the dynamics and feel engaged. - offering something different. In this shoot we used ivory and gold fabrics in the settees and chairs, with gold table settings, and then added punches of burgundy, greens and pinks in the depression glass and china. We also aimed for a neutral color palette in the flowers with punches of burgundy.

Blush Boutique provided the designer wedding gowns in café, and ivory tones to accentuate the fall colors and the burgundies.

Featured gowns revealed designers Sottero and Midgely, Ashley & Justin, LenaIlene, and Justin Alexander from their collection of gowns released for the season.

One of the most interesting facts incorporated in the shoot were the headpieces, which were made by Ms. Lloyd at Blush featuring rhinestones, gold leaf headbands and hair vines along with Juliet caps and veils. which are sold in their Etsy shop - All veils are custom-made at Blush Boutique.

All the aforementioned gowns and head-pieces were modeled by Shannon, Sherrye and Christina.

Hair was styled by Bryan Wayne and Make Up was by Shelley Simeon with The Suites at La Bella Donna Salon

Very classic invite and wedding program were a design from our talented friends at Nalabe in Charlotte, NC - They specialize in creating beautiful products of all sorts for weddings & events – Such as letterpress invitations, save the dates, envelope calligraphy, place cards, table cards, chalkboard design and more.

The colorful and beautiful floral designs including tables, lanterns, crown, bouquets and other arrangements we tailored by Mary Gierie-Merrell & Kat Pavelo with The Flower Gallery in New Bern, NC

A pair of tall cocktail tables with beautiful golden top decorated the patio area as an addition for our vision was provided by Graceful Tables in new Bern, NC

We had vintage rentals - the beautiful decorating velvet Couches, rug and pillows were provided by Charlene Clark with Charming & Quaint who also provided the vintage doors used as a backdrop for the models in the performance and ceremony area.

Dining table set up and cake were created by Jean and myself - We really wanted something that evoked colorful, simple, elegant yet intimate - Decorated with berries and flowers. We used rose gold and gold linens. The chairs were each tailored and show a unique custom up holstered with a French vintage stamp design. These chairs were custom-made by artisans on Etsy. They make part of Blush's house inventory along with pink floral Limoges china, and Waterford crystal champagne glasses that are a family heirloom given to the Ms. Lloyd’s grandparents as a wedding gift in 1916.

The plate set ups were decorated with vintage hand embroidered linen and lace handkerchiefs which were tuned into napkins for the bride and groom from the collection of wedding handkerchiefs available also at Blush Boutique. About the wedding ring: the bride’s ring is an iconic Tiffany’s setting that dates back over 130 years to 1837, with the Charles Lewis Tiffany designed 6-prong diamond setting floating above a 18K gold and platinum Tiffany band ring from Tiffany & Co. New York
